The Rifle brigade, Crimea 1854

I had finished painting these figs at the end of last year (the year that we wont mention) but had only got around to basing them this week. The Figures are from the Great War Miniatures range.

The colours for the green uniforms i used are from the Andrea color green paint set ( I must write down the colours i use) For the black i use a flat black then scalecolor Abyssal Blue then add a little scalecolor Bering blue for a highlight.

The 79th Cameron Highlanders and the 93rd Sutherland Highlanders made up two thirds of the Highland Brigade. The 93rd became known as the thin red line when they stopped the Russians approaching Balaclava.
